Cold Zaps GM Power Steering

This bulletin applies to 2010-2013 Buick Regal models, in addition to a number of 2009-2013 GM vehicles. The vehicle may experience a power steering noise/whine or fluid leak from the power steering pump, gear or high pressure side power steering hose during extreme low outdoor temperatures.

During extremely low temperatures (-31 degrees Fahrenheit or lower), the power steering fluid may thicken and the power steering system pressures may rise.

To resolve the condition, replace any damaged power steering system components, and flush and refill with Dexron HP power steering fluid (P/N 19300536).
