Ford Explorer Needs Module Configured

Order Reprints
Ford

This bulletin applies to 2019 Ford Explorer vehicles. DTCs U2100 and U2101 indicate that the module has not been properly configured.

Check the repair history for any module replacement and verify if PMI has been carried out by starting a session using the appropriate scan tool with the original module still installed.

Verify all adaptive learning and training procedures were completed. If DTCs U2100 and/or U2101 are still present and the vehicle is supported by Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS), go to IDS>Toolbox>Module Programming>As-Built>select the module. When asked “Were you sent here to obtain part numbers from another procedure?”, answer “No” to configure the module.

If the vehicle is supported by the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS), run the Module Configuration Application.
