This bulletin applies to all 2000-2016 Volkswagen vehicles except the Routan. A static ECM fault P1250 ("fuel level too low”) message might appear in the instrument cluster. Simply adding fuel will not clear this fault message. After adding fuel, a road test of at least 10 miles is required in order to clear this message and code.
