Don't Grease the Toyota Pedal

Note that the Toyota accelerator pedal assembly should not be lubricated.

This bulletin applies to 2001-2013 Toyota models, including 4Runner, Avalon, Camry, Camry HV, Celica, Corolla, FJ Cruiser, Highlander, Highlander HV, Land Cruiser, Matrix, Prius, Prius C, Prius PHV, Prius V, RAV4, RAV4 EV, Sequoia, Sienna, Solara, Tacoma, Tundra, Venza and Yaris.

If replacing or servicing the accelerator pedal, do not apply oil or other lubricants to the pedal assembly. If applied, the accelerator pedal sensor assembly must be replaced. According to Toyota, the accelerator pedal assembly does not require lubrication.
