This bulletin applies to 2013-2014 RAM 2500, 3500, 4500 and 5500 trucks equipped with a 6.7L Cummins diesel engine. Doser control unit heater thaw time improvements have been developed, requiring selectively erasing and reprogramming the doser control unit (DCU) with new software.

Software improvements are available for the diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) on vehicles equipped with this engine. The new software contains the following improvements and addresses the following conditions:

Increase in DEF thaw time when ambient and DEF tank temperatures are below 7 degrees F.

P208D (DEF reductant pump control circuit high)

P202E (DEF reductant injector performance

Flash reprogram the DCU with the latest software. Note that the ECM/PCM must be at the latest software calibration before proceeding with this DCU update. Clear any DTCs that may have set due to reprogramming.
