Porsche to Recall More than 10,000 Taycans

Porsche Cars North America Inc. is recalling up to 10,373 model year 2020-2021 Taycans due to monitoring software that can "shut down" the vehicles' power train, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Porsche dealers will reprogram the vehicles' electronics and engine control units free of charge.

Notification letters will be mailed on Aug. 27, 2021. In the meantime, owners may contact Porsche customer service at (800) 767-7243.

The recall number is AMB5.
