Bad Vibes From Honda Pilot

Order Reprints

This bulletin applies to 2012 Honda Pilot 2WD and 4WD vehicles, and 2013-2015 Pilots equipped with a Keihin PCM. Under certain driving conditions, excessive vibration between 30 and 65 mph may be felt. For 2WD and 4WD vehicles, the calibration VCM operation combined with the action of the lock-up torque converter may create excessive vibration. Additionally for 4WD vehicles, the propeller shaft’s center support bearing bushing material may not effectively dampen vibrations in cold weather below 32 degrees. Due to the inspection procedure and based on your results, you may need to update the PCM using HDS software version 3.016.018 or later. For 4WD vehicles, you may also need to replace the propeller shaft.
