Cadillac Needs Grounded After Steering Issue

Note the location of the G111 ground. Tighten to 80 in-lb.
Some owners of 2014-2016 Cadillac XTS vehicles may comment about a Service Power Steering message displayed on the instrument cluster after a cold start. This condition may be intermittent. When checking for diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), the power steering control module may report C056D 3C, C0475 00 or the BCM may report U0131 set as current or in history.
Inspect the G111 ground and the 80A F72UA fuse for proper connection. Ensure that the ground is free of paint and both connections are tight. Tighten the G111 ground to 80 in-lb. Tighten the F72UA fuse to 42 in-lb. Reprogram the power steering control module using the latest calibrations available on TIS2WEB.
Check that the 80A fuse F72UA is torqued to 42 in-lb.
