Example of damaged air line and splash shield.

This bulletin applies to 2016-2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles built on or before January 26, 2017, and equipped with Quadra-Lift Air Suspension. The customer may note that the air suspension is inoperative. A message “Air Mass Low” or “Unable to Achieve Desired Ride Height” may be displayed.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle.

  2. Remove the right-side front and rear-wheel assemblies and inspect the wheelhouse splash shield for damage. If damage is found, proceed to repair step 1. If no damage is found, proceed to repair step 2.

REPAIR

  1. Replace the wheelhouse splash shield, shield rivets and damaged air suspension lines.

  2. Remove the splash shield and check air suspension lines to see if all are secured with zip ties. If needed, add zip ties to secure lines to prevent them from contacting the splash shield.

  3. Install the splash shield using new rivets.

  4. Install the wheel assembly. Lower the vehicle and road test.
