On some 2005-2013 Chevy Corvette vehicles equipped with a manual transmission, the clutch system may fail if unapproved fluids are used to service the system or if a high-pressure pulse occurs during a clutch self-adjustment event.

If the clutch system fails, the clutch pedal may not return if depressed. If the clutch pedal does not return, it may be possible to start the engine when the transmission is in any gear.
