This bulletin applies to some 2007-2013 Chevy Avalanche, Tahoe, Silverado or Suburban vehicles.

Some owners of 2007-2013 Chevy Avalanche, Tahoe, Silverado or Suburban vehicles may comment on a service four-wheel drive (4WD) message on vehicles equipped with electronic shift transfer cases or the 4WD indicator in the IPC just flashes when the transfer case is shifted to 4WD on manual shift transfer cases. On electronic shift applications, diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C0379 may be a hard code or intermittent. On manual shift applications, the flashing 4WD icon may be intermittent or hard.

If diagnostics do not lead to resolution, inspect the front axle actuator connector for signs of moisture intrusion. If corrosion is found on terminals, replace the actuator and harness.
