A “small number” of Jaguar XJ all-wheel drive vehicles equipped with a 3.0L engine have a revised design of the emergency park release (EPR), which has resulted in the service tool in the trunk being deleted.

According to Jaguar, this applies to USA vehicles with the following VINs: V80330 and V80353. Diagram A shows the location of the new EPR lever. Diagram B shows the side view of the new EPR lever.

According to Jaguar, the design change was implemented to simplify the operation.
