Brake system service is perhaps the most crucial aspect of vehicle service. If the engine won’t start, the customer is stranded. If the engine or transmission causes a surge or poor acceleration, the customer is annoyed. But if the vehicle won’t stop, that’s a big problem.
Some 2015-2017 Toyota Camry vehicles may exhibit a “Check Brake System” message displayed on the MID (multi information display) in the combination meter/instrument cluster assembly at engine startup, along with DTC C1441.
This bulletin applies to 2008-2011 Subaru Impreza, 2008-2014 Impreza WRX, 2015-2019 WRX, 2017-2018 Forester and 2013-2019 BRZ vehicles, equipped with LED-type rear combination lamps. A rasping sound may be heard when applying the brake.
The Goodyear name will appear on a new line of brakes, to be manufactured in the U.S. by FDP Virginia Inc., a company that has been supplying original equipment manufacturers with brake products for more than 50 years. The initial launch is designed for the DIY channel, and products will be sold online direct to consumers.
