Manley Performance Articles Inc. has added 20 new connecting rod part numbers to its lineup of engine components for sport compact applications, including H-Beam, H-Plus, H-Tuff and Pro Series Turbo-Tuff and Tri-Beam I-Beam rods.
The new rods are custom manufactured for Acura, Audi, Dodge, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Toyota and Volkswagen applications. This brings Manley’s total to 120 sport compact connecting rod part numbers covering most popular engines.
Manley’s H-Beam, H-Plus and H-Tuff rods are manufactured from 4340 steel forgings and precision-machined to exacting tolerances. The standard H-Beam rods come equipped with ARP2000 rod bolts and rated to 600 horsepower in a 4-cylinder engine.
The H-Plus rods have ARP Custom Age 625+ bolts and rated to 800 HP (4 cylinder) or 1000 HP for a 6-cylinder engine.
The Turbo Tuff design Pro Series I-Beam connecting rods are engineered for higher horsepower applications, with 1,000 HP being the norm for a 4-cylinder engine and 1,200 for a 6-cylinder.
Also available are rods specially made from 300M alloy material, which can handle 1,400-plus horsepower. All Manley rods are shot peened after machining to Mil Specs, individually magnafluxed, and sold in weight-matched sets (± 1.5 grams).
Additionally, Manley offers complete rotating assemblies that combine rods for Mitsubishi and Subaru applications with standard stroke or “stroker” crankshafts, Manley’s famed Platinum Series pistons, Total Seal rings and ACL bearings into a cost-effective factory-matched package.
