The Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance (The Alliance) has added Trimon Inc. (dba Superior Auto Parts Warehouse/Monument Car Parts) as the newest member of the group.
Headquartered in Concord, Calif., Trimon Inc. joins as the newest Bumper to Bumper shareholder. The company was founded in 1965 and is one of the largest independent auto parts suppliers in Northern California,
Trimon currently operates nine wholesale/retail locations under the names of Superior Auto Parts Warehouse and Monument Car Parts. Trimon Inc. is a family owned and operated business started by Red Monroe and his two sons, Jim & Jack Monroe. Presently, Trimon Inc. is owned and operated by Tim Archer, who purchased the family business about 10 years ago.
"Once we began to seriously consider a program group change, it was clear that Bumper to Bumper had distinct advantages in technology and product line support via their shareholder-owned Alliance Parts Warehouse that other groups simply couldn't match,” said Archer. “We need these tools, and others they offer to help us better compete in our market and continue our planned growth.”
“Their management team, led by Tim Archer, is young and aggressive and they quickly latched on to our technological initiatives, among other offerings,” says John Washbish, CEO and president of The Alliance.
Superior Auto Parts Warehouse is the wholesale division of Trimon Inc. with over 1,800 active customers servicing the east bay of Northern California. Superior operates a centralized call center and some 70 delivery vehicles for all nine locations to service these customers.
Monument Car Parts is the retail division of Trimon Inc. All of Monument Car Parts’ nine locations buy their major lines direct and the other lines are re-supplied daily from their larger warehouse locations.
