Some 2011 Ford Edge vehicles built on or before 6/26/2011 and equipped with Rain Sensitive Wipers may exhibit an un-commanded or phantom wipe on dry glass. This typically occurs on sunny days while turning into or away from sunlight.
Replace the Rain Sensor Module. Refer to the workshop manual, section 501-16.
An updated sensor is now available to correct this condition, listed as P/N BT4Z-17D547-B.
