This bulletin applies to 2009 DH and D1 Dodge Ram vehicles equipped with a 6.7L Cummins diesel engine, built after Dec. 15, 2008, and all 2009 DC and DM vehicles equipped with the 6.7L engine.
The fuel filter supplied as original equipment will be of a new design. The new style filter incorporates a duel element filter within a reusable shell. When replacing the filter, rinse the shell with clean fuel. Do NOT fill the shell with fuel prior to installation.
Replacing the filter does not require replacing the filter shell. During routine maintenance, use P/N 68061634AA filter element only. If damage to the filter shell occurs during service, replace the damaged shell with P/N 68061633AA, which includes both a new shell and filter.
