This bulletin applies to 2005-2011 Cadillac STS and 2004-2009 XLR models. A no-crank, no-start condition with a driver information center message of “No FOB Detected” can be caused by a low battery state of charge.
The remote control door lock receiver will not function if the battery state of charge is below 9 volts.
Check the battery state of charge. If low, diagnose the cause of the weak battery prior to performing any repairs.
