Due to the elimination of the accumulator in the 4G69 engine cylinder head, the mounting hole has also been eliminated.
Engines produced from June 11, 2007, have been built according to the new design. Service parts have also been superceded to the new type. When installing a new cylinder head on a vehicle that originally featured an accumulator, do not reinstall the accumulator.
Applicable vehicles include 2003-2006 Outlander, 2004-2006 Lancer and Lancer Sportback, 2004-2007 Galant, 2006-2008 Eclipse and 2007-2008 Eclipse Spyder.
