This bulletin applies to 2016-2017 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 trucks and cab chassis vehicles. The issue involves replacement of the low/reverse solenoid pack in the automatic transmission.
Some customers may experience a MIL on or the vehicle may be in limp mode. The technician may find the following DTCs:
P0750 (Lr solenoid circuit)
P0882 (TCM power input low)
P0755 (2C solenoid circuit)
P0765 (UD solenoid circuit)
P0770 (4C solenoid circuit)
P2706 (MS solenoid circuit)
Using a scan tool, verify that all related systems are functioning as designed. If DTCs other than those listed here are present, record and repair before continuing.
Replace the transmission solenoid assembly. Refer to the detailed service procedures available in DealerCONNECT>TechCONNECT under Service Info>21 – Transmission and Transfer Case/Automatic – 65RFE/Fluid and Filter/Standard Procedure>Transmission Fill.
Clear all DTCs that may have set in any module due to reprogramming. Perform a transmission quick ;earn. Refer to the procedures in DealerCONNECT>TechCONNECT under Service Info>21 – Transmission and Transfer case/Automatic – 65RFE/Standard Procedure>TCM Quick Learn – RLE and RFE Transmissions.
The replacement solenoid assembly is available as P/N 52120000AA. Use ATF+4 transmission fluid, P/N 9602.
