This bulletin applies to 2016 BMW 330e vehicles equipped with a 2.0L turbocharged engine. The turbocharger oil return line may leak at the connection to the turbocharger unit.
The cause may be incorrect assembly of the “asbestos-free” gasket, if the gasket was incorrectly flipped during installation, with the gasket bead raised toward the turbocharger. The raised bead must face the oil return line.
Replace the oil return line, the “asbestos-free” gasket and the 16 mm x 2 mm O-ring.
