Some owners of 2016-2019 Cadillac ATS and 2014-2019 CTS Sedan vehicles equipped with a 3.6L engine may comment about a brief rattle or ticking noise that is heard when revving the engine in Park/Neutral.
The same noise can sometimes be heard at the beginning or end of vehicle acceleration while in Drive. The noise may also be heard when cold, and may go away when warmed up.
The cause may be a loose wastegate arm for the turbocharger or loose catalytic converter bracket nuts.
