This bulletin applies to 2015-2019 Audi A3 and S3 vehicles equipped with drive select and magnetic shock absorbers. Cracking noises and spring jumps may occur when steering/maneuvering. The noise can be reproduced when at least two people are in the vehicle and the steering wheel is just before the right/left stop.
The buffer stop for the shock absorber can cause noises if it touches the front shock absorber cap. Lightly lubricate the contact surface between the buffer stop and shock absorber cap with 5 grams of silicon grease per side (G 000 405A2). Check the protective sleeve of the front shock absorbers for correct fit. They should turn easily in the axial deep-groove ball bearing/sleeve bearing.
