The technician may find P0733-00 (gear 3 shift incorrect ratio) and/or P0736-00 (gear ratio error in reverse) set in the TCM memory. The customer may experience no reverse, 3rd or 5th gears.
Using a scan tool (wiTECH) with the appropriate diagnostic procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify that all related systems are functioning as designed. If DTCs other than the ones listed here are present, record and repair before proceeding.
If the codes listed here are present, replace the transmission. You’ll need RL300150AB transmission kit, six P/N 06511777AA torque converter M12x1x17.8 bolts and automatic transmission fluid P/N 05189966AB.
