GM to Introduce Electric Silverado

April 16, 2021

General Motors (GM) has announced that it will introduce an electric version of the Chevy Silverado. The truck will have a range of more than 400 miles on a full charge.

The vehicle will be made at the company's Factory Zero plant in Detroit, Mich.

GM's Hummer EV SUV also will be built at the facility.

GM says it plans to deliver more than one million EVs globally by 2025 and "earn EV market leadership in North America.

The Silverado development "affirms Chevrolet’s commitment to build on the brand’s 100 years of truck expertise and leadership, while transitioning to an all-electric future in the light-vehicle space," say GM officials.
