Gas Leak Throws Code for Mazda CX-5

This bulletin applies to 2013-2016 Mazda CX-5 vehicles. Some vehicles may exhibit a check engine light on, with DTC P013A.00 stored in memory (slow response during transition from rich to lean). This concern may be caused by an impact from a speed bump or other source, causing a deformation of the gasket between the exhaust manifold and the TWC (three-way catalytic converter).Inspect the exhaust system for as gas leak at the gasket location.

Replace the gasket with an updated gasket, along with both flange nuts. Be sure to tighten the nuts to 37.6 ft-lb (51 Nm). The gasket is available as P/N PEY5-40-305. Nuts are P/N 9994-61-000.
