Red Light Normal for Cadillac

Some owners of 2013-2018 Cadillac vehicles equipped with an electronic parking brake (EPB) may comment that the red park brake light on the instrument panel intermittently comes on. This may be due to the vehicle automatically applying the EPB when the vehicle is not moving. This is normal and is done periodically (every 50 key cycles) to check the operation of the EPB system.
