Cardone Industries Inc. has expanded its remanufactured electronic power steering (EPS) product coverage.
This bulletin applies to 2014-2015 Toyota RAV4 and 2015 Highlander and Camry vehicles, built from August 2014 to December 2014. Toyota recalled a select number of vehicles due to a potential damage of the EPS (electronic power steering) control ECU during the manufacturing process.
Honda has recalled certain 2017-2018 Honda Civic and CR-V vehicles. The magnet that controls the torque sensor output signal for the electronic power steering system may not be properly secured, allowing the magnet to become dislodged.
This bulletin applies to 2012 Subaru Tribeca and other Subaru models. If the customer complains that the electronic power steering (EPS) assist is not working properly, with a heavy steering feel, and the EPS light illuminates without a DTC, check the battery terminals for cleanliness an tightness.
2011 Mercedes-Benz C350 vehicles equipped with a 3.5L engine and electric power steering (ES) may hear a honking noise when steering to the limit stop.
This bulletin applies to 2012-2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek vehicles equipped with EPS (electronic power steering). If you receive a customer concern of the EPS warning light, and diagnostics show DTC C2532 stored in memory, a new EPS control unit is now available to address this code. There may also be a customer concern of increased steering effort along with the EPS warning light.
This bulletin applies to 2013-2014 BMW 320i x-Drive vehicles. Even though the Service Engine Soon lamp is not illuminated, when diagnosing the vehicle for a customer complaint, fault code FC 160502 (crankcase ventilation heater, activation, short to ground) may be stored in the DME fault memory.
This bulletin applies to 2014 BMW 328i models that display fault code 4823E1 in the EPS_20 control unit (electronic power steering fails when starting).
