Some 2013-2014 Ford Taurus vehicles equipped with a 2.0L GTDI (gasoline turbocharged direct injection) engine may exhibit a difficult-to-start, rough running, crank-no-start, lack of power, loss of idle rpm or hesitation concerns, accompanied by DTCs P0106, P0236 or a repeat P0128. These conditions may be caused by a wiring concern in the signal return splice.
Some 2011-2013 Ford Explorer, Flex, Taurus, MKT and MKS vehicles may exhibit a noise that could be described as a ting, pop or click noise from the front wheel area when accelerating from a stop or when shifting between drive/reverse and/or reverse/drive.
Some 2010-2011 Ford Focus, 2010 Edge/MKX/F-150/E-Series, 2010-2011 Flex/MKT/Taurus/MKS/Fusion and MKZ vehicles with any of the following engines: 2.0L, 3.5L (excluding GTDI), 3.7L and 4.6L 2V may exhibit DTCs P2111, P2112 or the idle speed drops lower than desired and/or fluctuates. The idle speed concern can be intermittent and DTCs P2111/P2112 may or may not be present.
This bulletin applies to 2010-2011 Ford Flex, 2010 Edge, MKX, F-150, E-Series Focus, Taurus, MKS, Fusion and MKZ vehicles with any of the following engines: 2.0L. 3.5L (excluding GTDI), 3.7L and 4.6L 2V. Some vehicles may exhibit DTCs P2111, P2112 or the idle speed drops lower than desired and/or fluctuates.
Some 2009-2010 Ford Taurus vehicles equipped with Rain Sensing Windshield Wipers may exhibit a detached rain sensor mounting ring.
Some 2010-2011 Ford Taurus vehicles equipped with a 3.5L GTDI (Gasoline Turbocharged Direct Injected) engine may exhibit rough running, hesitation and/or shuddering, with DTCs P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0305, P0306 or P0316.
This bulletin applies to 2009-2011 Ford Taurus, Edge and Flex vehicles. Some vehicles equipped with a 6F50 or 6F55 transmission and built on 3-13-2009 through 6-30-2010 may intermittently exhibit one or more of the following concerns:
A limited number of 2010 Ford Flex, Edge, Taurus, MKX, MKS and MKT vehicles equipped with a 6F50/6F55 all wheel drive transmission may experience a power transfer unit (PTU) compression seal leak.
Some 2009-2011 Ford Edge, MKX, Taurus, Flex, MKS and 2010-2011 MKT vehicles equipped with a 6F50 or 6F55 transmission may intermittently exhibit slipping/neutral out, 5th gear start from stop, electronic PRNDL error, backup camera on in Drive or speed control dropping out intermittently. This may be due to high resistance in the transmission range sensor (TR).
Some 2008-2009 Taurus, Taurus X, and Sable vehicles built before 8-12-2008 and 2008-2009 Edge, Flex and MKX vehicles may exhibit a harsh driveline clunk at low speed (below 10 mph) during stop and go driving on tip-in (this could be perceived as a harsh 1-2 upshift or 2-1 downshift). This may be due to a PCM calibration.
