Slow Mazda?

Owners of 2016-2018 Mazda CX-9 vehicles produced before Nov. 10, 2017, may experience a lack of power with no warning lights illuminated and no related DTCs stored. This concern most likely occurs when fuel temperature is high and during situations where high power is required.

Cracks? No Worries

Mazda notes that when inspecting a turbocharger housing (2017 CX-9, for example), you may find small cracks as shown in the photo here.

DTC Due to Oil in Connector

Some owners of 2007-2015 Mazda CX-9 vehicles may note a check engine light on while driving. If DTCs P2A04:00 (HO2S LH circuit range/performance) and/or P2272:00 (HO2S LH signal stuck lean) are found, inspect the C-34 connector for engine oil contamination (connector on emission/injection harness).

Mazda Vibes

This bulletin applies to 2007-2015 Mazda CX-9 AWD vehicles built prior to Aug. 1, 2015. Some vehicles may experience vibration during acceleration and/or noise coming from the rear of the vehicle.

Fuse Out During Transport?

This bulletin applies to 2013-2017 Mazda CX-5, 2014-2017 Mazda6, 2014-2017 Mazda3, 2016-2017 CX-3, 2016-2017 MX-5 and 2016-2017 CX-9 vehicles. Some vehicles may experience the check engine light on with DTC P2610 and P2507 stored in memory after engine start, with room fuse 15A removed.

Normal Mazda Noise

This bulletin applies to 2007-2018 Mazda CX-9 models.  Some customers may report a slight clunk/bang/buzz noise or jolt from the front of the vehicle.

Liftgate Re-learn

Some 2012 Mazda CX-9 vehicles may exhibit an inoperable power liftgate after the vehicle battery has been disconnected then reconnected. The power liftgate will require re-initialization.

Mazda Mystery Stall

Some 2009-2010 Mazda CX-9 vehicles may experience an engine stall. This applies to vehicles produced from May 1, 2009, to July 31, 2009. The engine will restart and no DTC may be stored. This may be caused by an open circuit in the injector wiring harness and/or a short circuit to the CKP (crankshaft position sensor) wire shielding near connector 0140-16.
