Many automotive shops get intimidated when faced with the task of working on a European vehicle. Some of the reasons for this is they aren’t familiar with the vehicle, they don’t have the correct tools, or they quite possibly think that a European vehicle is so much out of the norm or completely different from the Asian and domestic vehicles that they are accustomed to.
This bulletin applies to 2018 BMW 330i GT XDrive vehicles equipped with a 2.0L engine. DTC 1C0102 (oil pressure control, plausibility, static: Pressure too low) may be stored in the DME (digital motor electronics) fault memory with no other engine oil pressure faults stored.
This bulletin applies to 2016 BMW 640i XDrive vehicles equipped with a 3.0L engine. “The Head-unit has an invalid IP address” message may appear at the start of an ISTA/P session. If this message appears at the start of an ISTA/P session, if programming is performed under this condition, the head unit and all other dependent control units (control units which are connected to MOST bus) may not be programmed.
This bulletin applies to BMW 5 Series vehicles equipped with the N20 engine. The Service Engine Soon (BMW’s MIL) may be on, with DTC 118602 stored (oxygen sensor before catalytic converter, fine mixture control, exhaust gas after converter too lean).
This bulletin applies to 2016 BMW 228i XDrive vehicles equipped with a 2.0L engine. If the engine stalls right after starting (when stationary), and/or the engine cannot be started, one of the following faults will be stored in the DME:
This bulletin applies to BMW models produced from June 30, 2011, to July 1, 2012. You may find an intermittent difficulty in starting the engine due to the key not being detected. Terminal 18 cannot be switched on. The remote key is not detected inside the vehicle.
This bulletin applies to 2014 BMW 335i GT XDrive vehicles equipped with a 3.0L engine. The power-assisted steering fails with a warning lamp in the instrument cluster or a check control message in the central information display. In some cases, the dynamic stability control warning lamp (DSC) may be illuminated.
This bulletin applies to 2018 BMW 330i GT XDrive vehicles produced up to 06/30/2018. DTC fault 1C0102 may be stored in the DME (digital motor electronics) fault memory, with no other engine oil pressure faults stored. Code 1C0102 indicates oil pressure control, plausibility, static: pressure too low.
This bulletin applies to 2013 BMW 528i models. An “increased battery discharge” message may appear in the central information display (CID) upon engine startup. In some cases, the message “battery charge level low” may also appear. In most cases, a fault code is not set for the intelligent battery sensor (IBS).
This bulletin applies to 2016 BMW 328i XDrive vehicles equipped with a 2.9L engine. The exhaust turbocharger oil return line may leak at the connection to the turbocharger.
