Owners of some 2006-2011 Cadillac DTS and 2000-2005 DeVille vehicles may complain about corrosion in the floor pan in the battery area. This condition may be caused by acid weeping from a battery vent tube that has become dislodged.
Some owners of 2010-2012 Cadillac SRX vehicles equipped with all-wheel-drive may comment that the “service rear axle” message is displayed on the DIC.
This TSB applies to 2007-2011 Cadillac Escalade/Escalade ESV/Escalade EXT, 2007-2011 Chevy Avalanche/Express/Silverado 1500/Suburban and Tahoe, and 2007-2011 GMC Savana/Sierra 1500/Sierra Denali/Yukon/Yukon XL/Yukon Denali and Yukon Denali XL, all equipped with the Gen 4 V8 engine.
Some owners of 2008-2009 Cadillac CTS, SRX and STS vehicles equipped with the 6L50 automatic transmission may complain about erratic torque converter (TCC) operation or an illuminated MIL. Technicians may find DTCs P0751 and/or P0741 in the TCM as a history or active DTC.
Some owners of 2007-2011 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevy Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban and Tahoe, and GMC Sierra, Yukon, Yukon Denali, Yukon XL and Yukon Denali XL vehicles may complain about a pop, squeak or tick noise from the left front dash area when driving over bumps. The noise is worse when cold and may go away at higher ambient temperatures.
Some 2012 Cadillac Escalade, Chevy Avalanche/Silverado/Suburban/Tahoe, GMC Sierra/Yukon/Denali vehicles may experience a coolant leak. The cause may be traced to an ill-fitting coolant overflow tank nipple.
