This bulletin applies to 2012 Chevy Camaro models. The technician may find DTC P062F set in the ECM. This DTC may either be active or in history.
This bulletin applies to 2009-2012 Corvette ZR1 and 2011-2012 Corvette Z06 with Z07 models, all equipped with the ceramic brake package (RPO J57).
Owners of 2010-2018 Chevy Camaros may experience an SES light on, and engine misfire and/or a chirp, squeak or tick engine noise. If the SES light is on, the technician will find a P0300-P0308 DTC with misfires counting on a single cylinder that may or may not be felt. This may occur consistently or intermittently.
This bulletin applies to all 2011-2012 GM passenger cars and light-duty trucks. In the event that an OnStar module had previously acquired a GPS signal with calibrated dead reckoning and is transported or towed at least 59 miles with the ignition off, the module may not re-acquire a current GPS location.
This bulletin applies to 2012-2014 Chevy Tahoe vehicles that exhibit unwanted grade braking, low power and/or a busy-shifting transmission. These issues may be caused by the BPP (brake pedal position) sensor not being learned correctly in the ECM.
When servicing the 6T30/40/45/50 automatic transmission in a 2012 Chevy Orlando, a technician may note that the ATF has a very dark appearance, almost as if the fluid has been overheated or the clutches inside the transmission are distressed.
This bulletin applies to 2014 Chevy Impala vehicles equipped with the 6T70 automatic transmission. Some owners may complain about a coast-down “bump” felt with closed throttle during a 4-3 downshift.
Anyone who works on later model Chevy vehicles is already aware of the engine oil filter replacement procedure that involves changing the filter element instead of a self-contained filter housing unit. Some customers may comment on the low oil pressure light coming on or flashing on and off at idle. This may be caused by oil pressure being bled off due to debris in the oil drain check valve and/or a distorted/smashed filter element.
Owners of 2013 Chevy Impala vehicles may comment that the cooling fans do not run or that the fans run with the key off. This may be caused by sticking fan relays or cooling fan motors drawing too much amperage, sticking and causing damage to the relays and accessory wiring block.
Some owners of 2011-2014 Chevy Silverado 2500/3500 trucks equipped with the Allison A1000 automatic transmission may experience a bump feeling and/or a clunk noise when shifting from drive to reverse. Harsh shifting into reverse may be involved as well.
