This bulletin applies to 2009 BMW X5 vehicles equipped with the 4.8L M57Y diesel engine produced from 1-22-2008 to 4-31-2011. The MIL may be on, with DTC 4C52 stored (charging air temperature sensor, plausibility). This indicates that the charge air temperature sensor has failed.
Some 2011 Ford F-Super Duty trucks equipped with the 6.7L diesel engine and built on or before 8-3-2011 may exhibit a MIL on with DTCs P20E8 and P202D. These codes are set by a small diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) leak internal; to the reductant pump assembly.
Some 2011-2012 Ford F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with the 6.7L diesel engine may experience a MIL on with any or all of the following DTCs:
Some 2011-2012 Ford F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with the 6.7L diesel engine may exhibit a MIL on with DTC P0401. This concern may be caused by a restricted exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler core.
Some 2011-2012 Ford F-Super Duty 250-450 trucks equipped with a 6.7L diesel engine may exhibit a buzzing noise from under the hood while the engine is running and/or for up to 30 seconds after the engine is shut off. This concern may be due to the wastegate control valve vacuum harness causing the wastegate control valve to resonate.
2011-2012 Ford F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L diesel engine may exhibit DTC P1291 and/or P1292 due to an internally shorted fuel injector. An internal short in a fuel injector may be caused by the fuel being contaminated with diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) or by fuel gelling.
Some 2003-2007 F-Super Duty vehicles, 2003-2005 Excursions and 2004-2010 E-Series vehicles, equipped with a 6.0L diesel engine may exhibit hard start, no start, white smoke, lack of power, running rough condition after cold engine start up, or diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0404, P0470, P0611, P1260 and/or P1378 issues.
Yet another Ford diesel annoyance: Some 2008-2010 Ford F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.4L diesel engine may exhibit a lack of power, with an intermittent DTC P0088 at full operating temperature, during moderate to heavy acceleration. A calibration update is available to address the concern.

Some 2013 Ford F-Super Duty 6.7L diesel equipped vehicles may exhibit a MIL-on with any of the following DTCs: P2002, P208e, P06EA, P06EB. A calibration is available to improve the monitors for the listed DTCs.
