On some Mitsubishi vehicles, refrigerant gas may leak from the front shaft seal of the A/C compressor, causing decreased A/C cooling performance. This primarily affects 2008-2010 Outlanders built prior to May 21, 2010, and 2009-2010 Lancers and Lancer Sportbacks built prior to May 20, 2010.
An oil leak from the front of the engine may be seen on some 2008 and later Mitsubishi Outlander (w/2.4L engine), 2008 and later Lancers and 2008 Lancer Evolution engines built prior to April 8, 2008.
This TSB applies to 2008-2011 Mitsubishi Outlander four cylinder Lancer, Lancer Sportback, Lancer Evolution and 2011 Outlander Sport. The number of bolts securing the sensing ring to the crankshaft has been reduced from four to three in production beginning Oct. 4, 2011, with engine serial number GR1742.
The misfire DTCs listed below can be set due to fuel aeration caused by low fuel level. This possible cause has been added to the diagnosis procedures for these DTCs.
This TSB applies to 2010 and 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander vehicles produced since July 2010. The right side shock absorber installation procedure has been changed.
