This bulletin applies to 2007-2011 Nissan Altima Sedan and Coupe models equipped with the QR25 engine and CVT transmission. All Nissan vehicles equipped with ABS or ABS/VDC may exhibit a clicking, knocking, clunking, buzzing or thumping noise from the engine compartment area. If this noise occurs only once per ignition cycle (ignition ON/OFF) and does not occur again until the ignition is cycled; and if the noise happens only briefly for a few seconds on acceleration (between 5 and 30 MPH), this condition is normal and occurs during the ABS self-check.
This bulletin applies to 2004-2008 Maxima (A34), 2004-2006 Altima (L31 with VQ35 engine) and 2004-2009 Quest (V42).
This applies to all Nissan vehicles equipped with their “intelligent key.” If the intelligent key is not functioning, check the outside of the key for physical damage.
This TSB applies to the 2009-2010 Nissan Cube. If the MIL is on and DTC P1421 is stored in the ECM, this indicates a problem with cold start control, and the ECM requires reprogramming.
A noise (clunking, squeaking, popping) may be heard when turning the steering wheel left or right, when driving over speed bumps, when driving on rough roads, or when accelerating or decelerating.
