When installing a trailer hitch on a 2007 and later VW Touareg 2, the early version of the instructions may have left out a step. If this fuse is not installed, the trailer module may display a terminal 15 implausible signal fault code and some trailer lamps will not function.
In the event that a Volkswagen TDI arrives at your shop with the intake manifold coked with carbon, be sure to check the start of injection (01-Engine Electronics-Basic Settings-Group 000).
This bulletin applies to 2008 Volkswagen Passat models equipped with a 3.6L engine. Due to fuel intrusion into the low pressure side fuel pressure sensor G410, a false signal may be sent to the ECM, resulting in a reading that is out of tolerance. A false signal may result in the MIL on and DTC P129F or P310B stored in the fault memory.
If you receive a complaint from a Volkswagen owner of low power with a TDI engine, check the mass airflow sensor reading in the measuring block, group 00, field 10.
This bulletin applies to 2008 Volkswagen Jetta Sedan models. In the event you have a TDI engine with a customer complaint of a hard start or long cranking time, check the cranking rpm.
This bulletin applies to 2009 Volkswagen Touareg vehicles. When diagnosing MK60 ABS fault codes 00688 (terminal 30 voltage) and 01276 (ABS hydraulic pump), perform voltage drop tests on the two main power and ground wires at the ABS module (pins 1 and 32; 47 & 16).
This bulletin applies to 2009 VW Jetta Sedan GLI (diesel) models. A TDI common rail high pitch whine noise may be heard after switching the ignition to the off position.
