Lazy Thermometer Reflash

This bulletin applies to 2012-2013 Dodge Charger vehicles built between Jan. 12, 2012, and April 27, 2013, and equipped with Outside Temperature Display and/or Vehicle Information Center. The customer may experience a delay to update the ambient air temperature display with the actual ambient air temperature.

Hummer Bummer

This bulletin applies to 2008-2010 Hummer H2 vehicles. The BCM may be damaged when the module is supplied with battery power and the ground path is removed.

Multiple Mysteries

Some 2013 Lincoln MKS vehicles equipped with a 3.7L engine built on or before Dec. 21, 2012, may exhibit hazard lights staying on or will not turn on, brake warning indicator illuminated, door illumination inoperative, multiple door ajar lights on with doors closed, door locks inoperative from the door switch, manual liftgate opening un-commanded with the vehicle in Park, delayed accessory not turning off when the vehicle is exited, door keyless entry illumination on or won’t turn off, and power liftgate/trunk trim switch inoperative.

Nissan BCM

This bulletin applies to 2013 Nissan Murano vehicles with configurable BCM (body control module). Before replacing a configurable BCM, always select Save Configuration whether or not it has any manually configurable options.

History Mistake

This bulletin applies to 2010-2013 Chevy Equinox. A technician may note history DTCs stored immediately after vehicle service if the ECM wakes up (activates) while a 5-volt reference sensor is unplugged and the ignition is off. This may occur on any 2010-2013 vehicle that requires the GDS2 scan tool to establish vehicle communication.

Stubborn Spark

This bulletin applies to 2013-2014 Chevy Spark vehicles. According to Motologic’s site, a dealer technician may not be able to perform the BCM Setup or Config using GDS2 after adding options (i.e. fog lamps) and/or programming/updating the BCM software. A no-comm message may be found or the procedure cannot be completed.

Jeep Won’t Light Up

Owners of a 2014 Jeep Compass or Patriot built on or after Feb. 4, 2012, and equipped with DRL (day time running headlamps) may comment that the DRL will not illuminate, and the technician may find no DTCs set.
