Engine Problem or Driver Problem?

This bulletin applies to 2014-2018 Buick Regal and 2017-2018 Envision vehicles. The MIL may be on with no drivability concerns, and DTC P2097 may be set. There are many things that can cause the P2097 and care must be taken when diagnosing this code.

Cracked Frame

General Motors is recalling certain 2020 Buick Enclave and Chevy Traverse vehicles that were built during July 2019.

Radio Won’t Shut Up

This bulletin applies to 2016-2017 Buick Cascada vehicles. Some customers may comment that when parking and turning off the engine, the radio continues to play even after the driver door is opened. Technicians may find DTC U1530 or U1534 present.

Mystery MIL

This bulletin applies to 2014-2018 Buick Regal and 2017-2018 Envision vehicles, equipped with a 2.5L or 2.0L engine. The MIL may be on, with no drivability issues. DTC P2097 may be stored. There are many things that can cause P2097 and care must be taken when diagnosing this code.

Stuck Brake Pedal

This bulletin applies to 2010-2015 Buick LaCrosse and 2011-2015 Regal vehicles. In “rare cases,” the brake pedal may not raise or may seem stuck down during a normal braking event.

Hot Wiper

General Motors is recalling certain 2016 Buick Enclave vehicles built Aug. 18, 2015, to Sept. 24, 2015.

Buick Ground Issue

This bulletin applies to 2010-2011 Buick Allure, 2016-2017 Cascada, 2013-2017 Encore, 2010-2016 LaCrosse, 2011-2017 Regal and 2012-2017 Verano vehicles, regarding DTC U0101 being set.

Electronic Brake Control Module

This bulletin applies to 2018-2019 Buick Enclave vehicles. The Service Parking Brake message may be seen, the red Park indicator may be flashing and/or the amber parking brake wrench indicator may be illuminated. Codes C056D or C056E may be stored, and other ABS codes may be found.

Module Damage Caution

The bulletin discusses module damage from incorrect AFIT usage on GM vehicles equipped with direct fuel injection.
