Cadillac XTS

Some owners of 2013-2018 Cadillac XTS vehicles equipped with a 6-cylinder engine may comment on an exhaust smell and/or leak, with the MIL on. DTC P0430 and/or P0420 may be stored. This may be due to a crack around the catalytic converter mounting flange. If cracks re found, replace the converter.

Caddy Time Out

This bulletin applies to 2014-2019 Cadillac ATS, CTS and XTS, and 2016-2019 CT6 vehicles. Some customers may comment that the engine stops running after extended idle with the shifter in the Park position.

This bulletin applies to a host of GM vehicles including 2018-2019 Buick LaCrosse and Regal, Cadillac XTS, Chevy Bolt EV, Cruze, Equinox, Impala, Malibu and Volt and GMC Terrain.

GM Caliper Recall

GM has announced a recall for certain 2018-2019 vehicles including Chevy Equinox, Bolt EV, Cruze, Impala, Malibu, and Volt, Buick Regal and LaCrosse, Cadillac XTS and GMC Terrain, built from March 2018 to July 2018.

Caddy Seat Massage

Some owners of a 2016-2018 Cadillac XTS may comment that a vibration is felt in the seat under heavy acceleration around 20 mph. The condition may be caused by a second-order vibration (driveline shudder) from the cardan joint.

Bad Balancer? Seriously?

This bulletin involves 2015-2017 Cadillac ATS, SRX, CTS, CT6 and XTS vehicles. A snapping or ticking noise at the harmonic balancer may be heard, or sparks may be observed at the balancer.

Caddy Brake Return

This bulletin applies to 2013-2015 Cadillac XTS models. In “rare” cases, the brake pedal may not raise or seem to be stuck down after a normal braking event.

Tow Can Mess Up GPS

This bulletin applies to all 2011-2012 GM passenger cars and light-duty trucks. In the event that an OnStar module had previously acquired a GPS signal with calibrated dead reckoning and is transported or towed at least 59 miles with the ignition off, the module may not re-acquire a current GPS location.

Noises From Birdland

Some owners of 2013-2014 Cadillac XTS vehicles may complain about a squeak or chirp noise from the rear of the vehicle, noticeable at low speeds with the window open. This is caused by a squeak at the axle-to-seal interface due to lack of lubrication.

Connection Conundrum

This bulletin applies to 2013-2014 Cadillac XTS, ATS, CTS and SRX models. Some customers may comment on the SES light on. A technician may find DTCs P0097, P00F4, P0113, P2229 and/or P0102 set.
