Chevy ABS Recall

General Motors is recalling certain 2014-2020 Chevy Silverado 1500, Suburban and Tahoe vehicles equipped with a 5.3L engine, 3.08-ratio rear axle and four-wheel drive.

ABS-Related Recall

GM is recalling certain 2015-2020 GMC Yukon vehicles equipped with a 5.3L engine, a 3.08-ratio rear axle and four-wheel-drive. If a wheel speed sensor fails, while the vehicle is travelling between 41 mph and 60 mph in four-wheel or automatic mod, the EBCM (electronic brake control module) software may activate the driveline protection system.

Cat Replacement Caution

This bulletin applies to 2002-2018 Chevy Escalade, Avalanche, Express, Silverado, Tahoe and Suburban models, Cadillac Escalade, Hummer H and GMC Savana, Sierra and Yukon models.

Chevy and GMC vehicles equipped with LGH, LML, LUZ, LWN, L5P and LH7 diesel engines may exhibit excessive smoke at the tailpipe, with DTC P2002 set. This may be the result of a cracked or broken diesel particulate filter (DPF).

Shifty Chevy

Some owners of 2011-2014 Chevy Silverado 2500/3500 trucks equipped with the Allison A1000 automatic transmission may experience a bump feeling and/or a clunk noise when shifting from drive to reverse. Harsh shifting into reverse may be involved as well.

Dirty Steering Kills Hydro-Boost

This bulletin applies to 1998-2013 Chevy Silverado models equipped with the Hydro-Boost system. Customers may notice that the brake pedal will move down or self-apply during or near full-lock turns.
