Ram 1500 Recall

This recall applies to 2013-2019 Ram 1500 trucks equipped with electronic power steering (EPS). Some EPS gear assemblies may have been built with a contaminated circuit card assembly that may short circuit.

Funky Caddy EPS

This bulletin applies to 2015-2017 Cadillac Escalade vehicles. Some customers may comment about a temporary loss of electric power steering assist (EPS) followed by a sudden return of EPS assist, particularly during low-speed turning maneuvers. The loss and sudden return of EPS assist typically happens within a 1-second period and is caused by an electrical/software issue.

Honda Steering Recall

Honda America is recalling certain 2017-2018 Honda Civic and CR-V vehicles. The magnet that controls the torque sensor output signal for the electronic power steering system may not be properly secured, allowing the magnet to become dislodged.

Dodge Dart No-No

This bulletin applies to 2012-2016 Dodge Darts equipped with a 2.4L engine and electric power steering. During EPS module electrical diagnosis and verification, DO NOT disconnect the gray EPS torque sensor connector on the EPS module.

BMW Power Steering Failures

This bulletin applies to 2014 BMW 335i GT XDrive vehicles equipped with a 3.0L engine. The power-assisted steering fails with a warning lamp in the instrument cluster or a check control message in the central information display. In some cases, the dynamic stability control warning lamp (DSC) may be illuminated.

Loose Cable, No EPS

This bulletin applies to 2012 Subaru Tribeca and other Subaru models. If the customer complains that the electronic power steering (EPS) assist is not working properly, with a heavy steering feel, and the EPS light illuminates without a DTC, check the battery terminals for cleanliness an tightness.

Acura Buzz

This bulletin applies to 2014 and 2015 Acura MDX vehicles. After driving in reverse and steering, a buzz or grunt may be heard after shifting from reverse to drive and turning the steering wheel.
