Coolant Leak at Rear

Some 2018 Lincoln Navigator and Ford Expedition vehicles built on or before Sept. 5, 2018, may exhibit an overheating condition, low antifreeze/coolant, and/or a coolant leak at the rear of the vehicle.

Whine is OK

Some 2017-2019 Ford Expedition vehicles equipped with a 10R80 transmission may exhibit a whining noise at idle and coming from the bell housing and front pan area of the transmission.

Erratic Cam Timing

Some 2005-2012 Ford Expedition vehicles equipped with a 5.4L 3V engine may exhibit an intermittent rattle noise/rough idle at operating temperature. The issue is caused by oscillating cam timing. DTCs P0022, P0021, P0340 and/or P0341 may be stored in the PCM.

Clunky Expedition

Some 2012-2014 Ford Expedition vehicles built on or before 5/13/2014 may exhibit a driveline clunk at highway speeds over 70 mph during tip-out drive conditions.

Ford Starts in 5th Gear

Some 2012-2013 Ford Expedition vehicles equipped with a 6R80 transmission and built on or before April 8, 2013, may exhibit a transmission engagement in 5th gear when starting.

Hard Pedal Reflash

Some 2011 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator vehicles may exhibit an intermittent hard brake pedal feel or firmness after extended cold soak. A new calibration is available that will improve this concern.

5th Gear from Stop

Some 2012-2013 Ford Expedition vehicles equipped with a 6R80 transmission and built on or before 4/8/2013 may exhibit a transmission engagement in 5th gear when starting from a stop.
