EcoBoost Pan Leak

Some Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with a 2.7L or 3.0L EcoBoost engine may exhibit an oil leak from the engine oil pan RTV seal.

This bulletin applies to 2013-2018 Ford Escape vehicles equipped with a 1.5L/1.6L2.0L EcoBoost engine, 2013-2018 Fusion equipped with a 2.0L/2.7L EcoBoost, 2013-2018 MKZ equipped with a 2.0L EcoBoost, 2017-2018 MKZ equipped with a 3.0L EcoBoost, 2015-2018 MKC equipped with a 2.0L/2.3L EcoBoost, 2015-2018 Edge equipped with a 2.0L/2.7L EcoBoost, 2016-2018 MKX with 2.0L/2.7L EcoBoost, 2016-2018 Explorer with 2.3L EcoBoost, 2017-2018 Continental with 2.7L/3.0L EcoBoost and 2016-2018 Focus RS with a 2.3L EcoBoost engine.

Loose Steering?

Ford announced a recall for certain 2015-2018 Fusion models built between July 2013 and March 2018.

Sensitive Hybrid

Some 2013 Ford Fusion/Energi and Lincoln MKZ Hybrid vehicles built on or before 11/01/2012 may exhibit an overly sensitive brake pedal feel often described as “grabby” brakes, or a perceived 2-3 second delayed transmission engagement in reverse due to the hill start assist activating briefly after starting the engine.

Funky Ford Fuel Filter

Some 2012 Ford Fusion models may exhibit an illuminated MIL with DTC P0456 stored in the PCM.

Gurgle, Gurgle, Toil and Trouble

Some 2010-2012 Ford Fusion (and 2010-2011 Mercury Milan) vehicles equipped with the 2.5L DOHC engine may exhibit an audible noise in the heater core/instrument panel area often described as a gurgle, waterfall or percolator sound. This concern typically occurs on initial engine start 1st throttle tip-in, when the ambient temperature is lower than 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

Some 2012 Ford Fusion vehicles may exhibit a MIL on, with DTC P0456 stored in the PCM.

Finicky Ford Fails

Some 2010-2011 Ford Focus, 2010 Edge/MKX/F-150/E-Series, 2010-2011 Flex/MKT/Taurus/MKS/Fusion and MKZ vehicles with any of the following engines: 2.0L, 3.5L (excluding GTDI), 3.7L and 4.6L 2V may exhibit DTCs P2111, P2112 or the idle speed drops lower than desired and/or fluctuates. The idle speed concern can be intermittent and DTCs P2111/P2112 may or may not be present.

Funky Idle

This bulletin applies to 2010-2011 Ford Flex, 2010 Edge, MKX, F-150, E-Series Focus, Taurus, MKS, Fusion and MKZ vehicles with any of the following engines: 2.0L. 3.5L (excluding GTDI), 3.7L and 4.6L 2V. Some vehicles may exhibit DTCs P2111, P2112 or the idle speed drops lower than desired and/or fluctuates.
