Alarming Converter Damage

This bulletin applies to 2006 and prior Hummer H2 and H3 vehicles, as well as 2006 and prior GM passenger cars and light duty trucks. GM Engineering, in an effort to determine the root cause of catalytic converter damage, has determined that aftermarket alarm systems incorrectly installed in vehicles have the potential to cause misfire codes and damage to the converter.

Shifty Hummer

OK, this is a good one. Some owners of 2006-2010 Hummer H3 vehicles may complain about difficulty when shifting into reverse or blocked shifts on the Aisin MA5 manual transmission.

Captain crunch

Owners of some 2004-2011 GMC Canyon trucks (as well as 2004-2011 Chevy Colorado and 2006-2010 Hummer H3) may complain of a squeak/crunch/creak-type noise from the underside of the vehicle while driving. The condition is most noticeable at low speeds on uneven surfaces. The condition is caused by friction between the upper and lower body mount cushions.

Aha, it’s the MAP

This bulletin applies to three GM models, specifically 2004-2012 Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon, as well as 2006-2010 Hummer H3, equipped with 2.8L, 2.9L, 3.7L and 5-cylinder engines.

Raining on Saab parade

Some owners of 2005-2008 Saab 9-7X vehicles may comment on an intermittent MIL/SES light illuminated with a message center or an indicator that displays “Reduced Engine Power.” DTC P2138 (accelerator pedal position sensor 1-2 correlation) may be set.

GM shift DTC

This TSB applies to 2007 and prior GM passenger cars and light duty trucks, 2003-2007 Hummer H2, 2006-2007 Hummer H3, and 2005-2007 Saab 9-7X, equipped with 4L60-E, 4L65-E or 4L70-E automatic transmissions.

This TSB applies to all GM 2003-2008 passenger cars and trucks (including Saturn), 2003-2008 Hummer H2/H3 and 2005-2008 Saab 9-7X vehicles.
