ASA Supports OEM Compliance Requirements

The Rhode Island House Committee on Corporations recently held a hearing on House Bill (HB) 8013. If enacted, certain provisions in the bill would not allow insurers to require “repair specifications or procedures” that are not in compliance with vehicle manufacturer recommendations.

ASA Opposes Anti-Safety Inspection Legislation

The Automotive Service Association (ASA) reports West Virginia Sen. Robert Karnes, R-11, recently introduced Senate Bill (SB) 90. If enacted, this legislation would repeal West Virginia’s vehicle safety inspection program, which requires an annual inspection.
