Kia Hybrid Coolant Bleed

This bulletin applies to 2017 Kia Optima Hybrid vehicles. Some technicians may report seeing the “fill inverter coolant” message on the cluster after performing an HEV system service requiring the coolant to be drained.

Vette Coolant

This bulletin applies to 2016-2018 Chevy Corvettes equipped with a 6.2L LT1 or LT4 engine. A vehicle may have a concern with coolant loss and/or coolant odor after driving the vehicle.

Coolant Leak at Rear

Some 2018 Lincoln Navigator and Ford Expedition vehicles built on or before Sept. 5, 2018, may exhibit an overheating condition, low antifreeze/coolant, and/or a coolant leak at the rear of the vehicle.

Head Gasket Leak Due to Block Surface

Some 2014-2019 Ford Fusion and 2017-2019 Escape vehicles equipped with a 1.5L Ecoboost engine may exhibit coolant consumption and a white smoke concern.

Leaky Vette

This bulletin applies to 2016-2018 Chevy Corvettes equipped with a 6.2L LT1/LT4 engine. The vehicle may have a concern with coolant loss and/or coolant odor. If the coolant is low, pressure test the cooling system to check for leaks at the outer cylinder head bolts.

Caddy Radiator Leaks

Owners of 2015-2016 Cadillac Escalade vehicles may comment that they smell coolant while driving or when outside of the vehicle. A coolant leak may be found under the front of the vehicle.

Stoned Audi

This bulletin applies to 2010-2013 Audi S4, S5 and S5 Cabriolet  and 2012-2013 A6 and A7 vehicles. If the coolant warning light is illuminated, check to see if coolant is leaking from the front intercooler radiator due to stone damage.

Not a Cool Ford

Some 2011 and 2012 Ford Flex vehicles built on or after 9/1/2010 and equipped with dual engine cooling fans may exhibit a lack of air conditioner performance while the vehicle is stationary or moving at slow speeds and/or an overheat condition. DTCs P0217, P1299 and P1285 may be present.
