Noisy Hybrid Fan

Some 2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid vehicles may exhibit a flutter/rattle noise during vehicle operation from the HV battery cooling fan. A new HV battery intake duct has been developed. The previous HV battery intake duct is P/N G92D1-42010. The improved duct is available as P/N G92D1-42020.

Kia Hybrid Recall

This bulletin applies to Kia Optima 2.0L hybrid models built between August 2016 and September 2017. Certain 2017-2018 Kia Optima hybrid vehicles have been recalled due to a potential issue with the voltage protection device (VPD) that is designed to protect the high voltage battery module.

Hybrid Misdiagnosis

Some 2005-2012 Mercury Mariner hybrid vehicles may exhibit a concern where the engine stalls soon after starting. This may actually be a crank/no-start condition being misdiagnosed due to the unique characteristics of the hybrid powertrain. DTC P0A7D (battery pack state of charge low) and/or P1A0C (engine disabled) may be present.

A Simple Adjustment

Some 2012 Ford Escape hybrid vehicles built from 12-1-2011 to 3-15-2012 may exhibit a customer concern of a high pitch chirp/squeak noise coming from the front right corner while driving.
