EcoBoost Oil Use

Some 2017-2018 Lincoln Navigator vehicles equipped with a 3.5L EcoBoost engine and built on or before July 13, 2018, may exhibit DTC P0365 and/or P0369, along with excessive oil consumption.

This bulletin applies to 2016-2019 Chevy Camaro vehicles equipped with a 2.0L or 2.5L engine. An engine oil leak may be found from the side of the engine block, near the starter. The condition may be caused by porosity in the cast engine block at a bed plate bolt hole location.

This bulletin applies to 2007-2008 Mercedes-Benz E320 models equipped with the 642 engine. If the lower oil pan appears to be leaking oil, check to see if the oil is coming from the drain holes that connect the V-chamber below the intake manifold.

This bulletin applies to 2013 – 2019 Chevy Malibu vehicles equipped with a 2.5L or 2.0L engine. The same engines are available in a number of GM vehicles including Buick Envision and Regal, Cadillac CTS, ATS and CT6, Chevy Camaro, Equinox, Impala and Traverse and GMC Acadia, Canyon and Terrain.

This bulletin applies to 2014 Mini Cooper vehicles equipped with a 1.6L engine. An oil leak can develop at a sealing plug located in the cylinder head, just below the vacuum pump.
