Sticking Mustang TCC

Some 2018 Ford Mustang GT vehicles equipped with a 10R80 automatic transmission and built on or before Nov. 20, 2017, may exhibit an illuminated MIL, with DTC P0741 and P1744 stored in the PCM or transmission control module (TCM).

Internal Mode Switch Glitch

Honda Troubleshoot

Troubleshooting DTCs for a solenoid or motor power supply circuit failure? Keep in mind that even though the control unit activates these components, the power supplied may come from a dedicated circuit and its own separate fuse.

Corvette Trans Program

This bulletin applies to 2015-2016 Corvette models equipped with an 8L90 transmission. The customer may comment on firm garage shifts, Park to Drive or Park to Reverse, after the vehicle has been sitting for several hours with the engine off, and/or a clunk noise that occurs as the engine starts or immediately after the engine starts, along with an illuminated MIL. DTC P16F3 may be found as an active or history DTC.

Trans Relearn

This bulletin applies to 2015 GMC Yukon and Sierra vehicles. Customers may comment about firm 1-2 upshifts, firm 3-1 downshifts, engine rpm flare on tip-in and the MIL on. The technician may find DTCs P0606, P16F3 or P2818 set as current or history.

Trans Trauma

Certain 2017 GMC Sierra, Yukon and Yukon XL vehicles equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission may have a condition where a false failure action is being taken when it is not required. This condition can result in the transmission holding the last known safe gear for 6 seconds.

Buick Bug

This bulletin applies to 2012-2017 Buick Regal models. Some customers may comment that the check engine light is illuminated. In “rare” cases, they may also comment that there is no PRNDL display. When checking for DTCs, technicians may find P182E set as active or history in the transmission control module (TCM).

Bumpy Downshift

This bulletin applies to 2014 Chevy Impala vehicles equipped with the 6T70 automatic transmission. Some owners may complain about a coast-down “bump” felt with closed throttle during a 4-3 downshift.
